Hi,
I’m Elena!
I’m so happy you’re here.
For many years, my world has been filled with movement, ambition and a fast-paced corporate career. And in many ways, it still is. Movement has always been a big part of who I am, from strength training and tennis to hiking, yoga and simply spending time outdoors. I love challenging myself, feeling strong in my body and experiencing life with curiosity and intensity.
Over time, yoga and meditation became something more than a practice for me. They became an anchor, a way to slow down, reconnect with myself and create space between everyday life and what is happening within.
Especially alongside my work in the corporate world, I began to understand how valuable it is to have practices that bring us back into our bodies, into the present moment and ultimately back to ourselves.
At the beginning of 2026, I took a three-month sabbatical and travelled to Sri Lanka. What I thought would simply be time away from work became one of the most transformative experiences of my life. It gave me the space to slow down, reconnect with myself and fully immerse in the practice of yoga and meditation.
During my time there, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Traditional Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. Beyond the physical practice, I became deeply drawn to yoga philosophy, meditation, breathwork and the connection between body, mind and inner awareness. Sri Lanka gave me far more than a yoga education. It brought meaningful friendships and unforgettable experiences.
What I have learned is that these practices are not about stepping away from life, but about learning to meet it with more presence, awareness and ease.
And this is where smriti was born.
Smriti is Sanskrit for remembrance.
For me, it is a reminder to pause, to listen, and to return to what is already within us, beneath the noise, expectations and constant movement of everyday life.
Through yoga, meditation and mindful living, I want to create spaces where you can reconnect with yourself, explore your own practice and simply be.
Thank you for being here. I hope smriti can become a little space you return to whenever you need to remember.🌿
Just a space to come back to yourself.
